What kind of commitment is required?
Unlike most doula mentorship programs that require a 6-24 month commitment and a hefty fee, my mentoring is based on individual sessions that are fairly priced and can work with your schedule. There is no minimum session requirement and you decide on frequency. Some doulas like to have a regular monthly session as a way of nurturing their career, while others just want a session every now and again as the need arises. Newer doulas sometimes want a bundle of sessions over several weeks or months, while seasoned doulas occasionally need a more experienced doula with whom they can process a birth. Scheduling is up to you, and you’re also the one who decides what we focus on in the session.
What are your fees?
Doulas don’t make the kind money they should and most of us try to keep our fees affordable so families at various income levels can use our doula services. For this reason, my mentoring fees are also affordable and they’re an excellent investment in your career and development. For a 30 minute session the cost is $25
60 minute sessions are $45
Where do you see clients?
I do in-person mentoring sessions for doulas in the Portland, Oregon area, and my office is located at 2207 NE Broadway 97232. For anyone outside of the Portland area or for people who are unable to come to the office I offer telephone and/or skype sessions.
How do I set up an appointment?
Go to my contact form and send me an email. Tell me about our doula journey so far and the type of service you’re looking for and we can see if it’s a good fit.
What are your office hours?
I see clients at the office on Thursdays, Fridays, and Saturdays from 9am-6pm but can do phone and skype sessions outside of those hours as needed.
What is your cancellation policy?
Since birth work is so unpredictable, my cancellation policy is lenient for missed sessions due to births. However, I do appreciate as much notice as possible.
What forms of payment do you accept? Check, cash, credit card, paypal, and venmo.
